Help & Advice

Despite the best care of even the most experienced keepers, nature can defy our efforts and will always take its course. This is why the help and advice is invaluable in recognising if something we are doing could be wrong or reassuring us that it might just be natural selection.

Contrary to mantises’ reputation as cannibals, moulting is one of the biggest dangers to mantis and other invertebrates. If environmental conditions are not appropriately maintained for the needs of each species, they risk mismoulting and dying.

Hydration, food, humidity, temperature and suitable space and surfaces in their environment are key to good health and successful moulting.
